Ramsgate Council or G.O.D's dream

So at last its official, the expected cost of a Ramsgate Council is anticipated to be up to half a million within three years, I suspect that that figure will be reached a lot sooner than that. G.O.D. and his little band of sycophants have completely overlooked several factors in their calculations, for example they still seem to think that Ramsgate Council will be based in a building provided by TDC this is not the case and they will have to stand on their own two feet from day one. I also notice that there are still no firm plans on exactly what they propose to do other than "Ramsgate could not get worse"
Along with others Town centre Councillor Peter Cambell has warned of the possible consequences of a Town Council he said " There is no cap on the precept that Parish and Town Councils can charge their residents."
I have been warning ever since this was first raised that this could mean that the Town Council could raise the Council Tax for Ramsgate as much as they wanted to fund the madcap schemes that they are no doubt hatching. Of course at no time has G.O.D. ever mentioned the bulk of Ramsgate ie Newington, Northwood, Dumpton, Nethercourt and all the other parts of Ramsgate, what are his plans for lets say Ellington Park? what are his proposals for street cleaning in Newington, how do his plans fit in with TDC's warden scheme? What ideas for maintaining Ramsgates cemetaries? As usual we have nothing of substance from Ramsgate First only vague statements about how Ramsgate has been let down, if only he had got off his bum and attended a few Council meetings he would know that all Ramsgates Councillors are vociferous in their defence of Ramsgate and unrelenting in trying to obtain a better deal for the Town.
Below is O'Donnells map of Ramsgate.

Mike, we all of Ramsgate has already voted to pay for a town council and all of these parts of Ramsgate will be represented by their own town councillor. We are also paying for the charter trustees money that will transfer to the town council. So can you translate how much this is actually going to cost each of us

What I would not mind seeing is a cost benefit analysis. But that could just be the business side of me...

I think you should be very careful before claiming that everyone involved with Ramsgate First is a sycophant - most people joined because they care about our town not themselves - if you want to find some sycophants I suggest you go to Cecil Street. Ramsgate First means just that "Ramsgate First"

Fair enough, I accept that most people joined because they care about the Town as do I. By the same token these people left Ramsgate First when the internal politics started and they realised that it was about O'Donnells ego and little else, those that are left, very few if my information is anywhere near correct are sycophant's.

Perhaps G O D should have read Nye Bevan on the General Srike ?

Planning and executing the protest is easy. The terrifying bit is when the protest looks like being successful and the prospect of taking power and responsibility looms ?

Harrison says that the Town Council will have to stand on its own two feet. That comment is rich coming from someone who gets paid by the TAX PAYER - Town councillors are UNPAID - Harrison is the charity case living off of the tax payer not Jerry who lives in the real world. And as for Harrisons lame comment about Jerry sitting on his bum- RamsFirst had to WORK HARD for their profile, any fool can get elected on a major party's band wagon.
