Today’s news that there has been an unofficial blacklist operated by construction companies comes as no surprise to those of us who have been involved in the trade union movement. We have long suspected that such a list operates despite denials by construction companies spokesmen. What is worrying is that the firm that acted as a sort of clearing house for this information acted with total disregard for the Data Protection Act and shouldn’t have held this information in the first place, add to that the weak and flaccid response from the so called watchdog, The Information Commissioner and you will agree that the Tory based Establishment hasn’t changed much.
This week also see’s the 25th anniversary of the start of the last major miners strike. Much has been said and written about those events some of which has since been proved to be true. Also come true is Arthur Scargill’s prediction that there was a policy to destroy our mining industry in Britain. Even last night and this morning there were a couple of the fat, bloated spokesmen from the Thatcher era denying that there was ever a policy of smashing Trade Unions and major industries.
I wait with interest for March 2014 when the 30 Year Rule will allow cabinet Minutes from that time to be released!

I have a cousin who is a fairly well known militant, but often wonder whether his name gets confused with mine when apply for jobs.
I myself have recently lost a job, which is directly related to me complaining about a safety issue which in my industry is not uncommon.
What these people have done is contemptible, it would be nice if those involve ended up in prison for having stolen peoples incomes.
I would be nice if the bosses of Taylor Woodrow, Balfour Beatty, Laing O'Rourke
It would be nice if the bosses of those companies involve said sorry
But then mike you were sacked for being late for work
What a sheltered life you must have led Mike.
"This man has proven amenable to advice"
"This man is not open to advice"
"This man is hostile to advice"
I take it the above mean nothing to you ?

Apart from the fact I think you have me confused with someone else define 'advice'.
Of course unlike you two I put my name to anything I write.
"Advice" is a euphemism Mike.
If you need it explaining at your age then you have led an unaware life.
Looking forward to the cabinet minutes prior to the second Iraq war
